Resumen

Currently there is an edge fault located in the Los Proceres sector, Torbes Municipality, resulting in the collapse of part of the road, reducing the number of channels to one. Despite the fact that this road is of a local type, it represents the entrance to the San Josecito landfill, where solid waste collector trucks from the San Cristóbal metropolitan area converge, affecting almost 700,000 tachiran people. As a result of this problem, the rehabilitation of the road to the San Josecito landfill is proposed, a section from the Ipolita de Lima school (0+000), to the intersection with the road to Agua Dulce (1+700). Methodologically, it corresponded to a descriptive level study. Regarding the data collection, the technique of direct observation was used, carried out through inspections carried out on site and supported by bibliographical consultations regarding the design of retaining walls and pavements. For the rehabilitation of the road, in the first place, the PCI method was applied, determining the states of severity of the pavement failures, in order to apply the most suitable repair option and its respective maintenance. Secondly, a retaining wall was designed as a solution to the “Los Proceres” edge fault, capable of resisting vehicular overload thrusts and seismic action. And, finally, the cleaning of the sides of the road was considered (watercourse, ditches, curbs, drawers). It is expected that this work will be carried out as soon as possible by the Mayor's Office of the Torbes Municipality.
